Andrew Hill

Andrew Hill trained in Anthropology at the University of Sydney, Australia and completed a year long study of the culture of the Orang Hulu in Malaysia. He taught Behavioral Science in Medicine at the Universities of Sydney and Newcastle before becoming a Steiner teacher, in which role he has taken three 8-years Class Teacher cycles and taught high school up to Year 12. He has been Collegiate Chair and Head of School at Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School, Sydney since 2009 and is a regular speaker at schools and conferences. He has been involved in teacher training for many years at the Glenaeon Intensives as well as in Waldorf schools in Southeast Asia.

Ursula Nicolai

Ursula is an experienced Steiner-Waldorf form teacher since 1978. She has been bringing Steiner Education ideas into practices for practically her lifetime. Among her initiatives, she mentored the first Waldorf school in former East Germany, Magdeburg; mentored and trained teachers in Bucarest, Romania; worked as founding teacher at Freie Goetheschule Frankeneck and Freie Waldorfschule Bruchhausen- Vilsen in Germany; trained and counselled teachers in Taipei Steiner School, Athens Waldorf School, and various schools in Germany and Switzerland. The list goes on, and Malaysia is very close to her heart.

Thian Phaik Sze

Teacher Thian began her Waldorf journey at Nania, a Steiner-inspired kindergarten in Penang, where she taught from 2004 to 2008 which she later became a mentor there. After dedicating several years to motherhood, she joined the pioneering team of the Penang Waldorf School, teaching Classes 1 to 6 and completing the Malaysia Waldorf Teacher Preparation courses.

Her deep commitment led her to serve as translator and supporting Waldorf teacher development in the region. In 2024, she completed the Basic Practice Biographical Coaching program, further enriching her mentoring work, guiding teachers in their professional and inner development through the Waldorf approach.
